After finishing our quick car tour of Island in the Sky, our plan was to continue heading southeast and check out the Canyon of the Ancients National Monument.
However, due to some Google Maps navigational errors and me not paying close enought attention, we actually ended up going to Hovenweep National Monument, which is right “next door”.
It was still pretty cool and we did the quick Tower Loop hike to check out some of the ruins that these Ancestral Puebloans left behind.
