Cow Camp 2017

By on August 26, 2017

Every year my mom’s side of the family does a big camping trip to the Deschutes National Forest in Central Oregon.

It’s been a family tradition since 1961, now spanning 4 generations. It’s an incredibly special time and nothing short of a miracle that 30+ people can get together year after year to spend a week in the woods.

This year was particularly special as we held a memorial for my grandparents and spread their ashes. They were incredible human beings and instilled a great love for the outdoors in their entire family.

I’m so glad Rocio and I were able to make it this year, after missing last year. We had a great time!
