Why Pachari Adventures?
It’s time to start exploring the world again.
For the past ten years, living in Dallas, TX without a car has been an excuse to not get outside do interesting things.
My sisters and I grew up camping, fishing, hiking, boating, etc in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Rocio has spent a big portion of her life working (and playing) in remote villages in the Andes mountains of her native Peru. We’ve spent a lot of time in the great outdoors and we’re realizing again just how much we miss it.
Every year my mom’s side of the family does a big camping trip (every year since 1961!) in Central Oregon and it’s always an incredible experience. After the most recent trip this past July, Rocio and I drove back to Dallas from Portland, crossing Idaho, Utah, a quick minute in Colorado and Arizona, then passing through New Mexico before arriving again to Texas. We’ve done this drive numerous times but for this trip we took 4 days instead of our normal 2, and spent an extra day in Moab, Utah.
The beauty of Moab really rekindled our desire to spend more time enjoying the outdoors and, for me personally, has awoken my long-held desire for extended offroad adventures.
So, we’re going to get back out there and do our best to document and share our journey of discovery and rediscovery along the way.
